Tree Steward Education Course This Fall 2008

 

 

Instructor Steve Dempsey teaches about tree identification

 

 

What is a Tree Steward?
Volunteer Tree Stewards are active across the United States assisting their municipalities, civic and neighborhood organizations, and the public in taking care of their trees.  Tree Stewards prune trees, plant new trees, do tree assessments, help plan Arbor Day events and perform many other services that are helpful to the community in which they live.

 

What is the Tree Steward Volunteer Training Program?
This course is designed to train volunteers to care for trees and to teach others about the urban forest in their community. 

 

What does the class consist of?

Practical information on trees, how they grow, tree selection and identification, pruning, planting and maintenance.

 

When is the class?

No classes scheduled.
